The Solution

AI agents rewrote the reports to fetch data in bulk instead of one record at a time, added fast lookups on preloaded data, cached user and master data upfront instead of re-fetching it, and restructured the heaviest logic to avoid scanning full tables. Every change was validated through automated regression testing against live production workloads.
